Back from holidays, and will be catching up on posts! First order of the day was to get the car washed. It was dusty, had been targeted by several birds, and had mud decorating the sides. The interior was a bit muddy and dusty too.
Took it to our regular car wash nearby (Wash Army), and within half an hour, it was like a brand new car again. It was 200 Baht ($7.99 Cdn). As I sat sipping my coffee, the little girl of the owners, I believe, came up to me to deliver my keys. The girl is only about four years old, and is always smiling.
I paid at the front, went to the car and brought back a 10 Baht coin for the little girl. That seemed to make her day, so that was nice. I have tried to tip them at the car wash before, but they refuse. I didn’t think they’d mind me giving their daughter one. Always nice to make someone’s day, and it left me smiling too.
