Buriram back to Bangkok – Day 3 – Thailand Road Trip

Today I made a decision to head back to Bangkok to get my drone fixed. Luckily there is a DJI service centre there, and hopefully the repairs can be done quickly, and inexpensively. It didn’t land in water, so I believe it’s repairable.

I thought a lot about this, and decided to do it because there are many places where I wanted to get drone footage, including a couple that I was going for exactly that.

By the end of my trip back to Bangkok, I was debating whether it was worth it!

Started out having an English breakfast at London Steak. I found a good place not too far from the hotel, and it was a really good choice. The food is excellent and I will certainly be back.

The front of the car was less of a disaster than the previous night. The rain seems to have washed a lot of the big debris off.

I filled up at a PTT, and got the attendant to clean my windows. They were in desperate need of it, and I could see that it was going to rain. The woman did a great job and I tipped 20 Baht as I usually do.

I was on my way and, within minutes, the rain started. For most of the way to a little south of Nakhon Ratchasima it rained, and heavy! The traffic was enough to keep me a little slower than I had hoped. The construction and rain didn’t help!

Heading south of Nakhon Ratchasima, the traffic got even heavier. As I got closer to Bangkok, Google Maps was brain farting and sending me on some dumb routes. The whole trip took me at least an extra hour longer than it should have!

Had I stayed in Buriram, I don’t know how much I would have seen with the rain anyway.

I had set up an appointment at the DJI repair centre for 10 am the next day, so hopefully I will have some reasonably decent news.
