Wat Khao Noi Temple – Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan

2024-09-13 by Traveller Leave a Comment

Buddha statue at Wat Khao Noi in Hua HinIt has been a busy summer of travel being driven by a rough itinerary. My trip to Hua Hin is much more laid back and focused on recovery. I still have my back issue from my train trip to Laos, but it is gradually going away. I decided to see a chiropractor here in Hua Hin, and I must say, I was impressed!

It was rare in the past for me to leave the chiropractor feeling substantially better. That usually took a few days to see results. The results were immediate at the Spine Clinic though! The problem is not solved, I know, but I felt so much better after visiting! I got some different treatments I haven’t had before, including neck manipulations I normally wouldn’t allow. This time I figured I have nothing to lose though, and it helped!

I went for my treatment after dropping Crystal off at the train station to head back to Bangkok. Before that, we went for breakfast at the Oasis Cafe, one of our favourite restaurants in Hua Hin. Crystal also wanted to pick up a loaf of sourdough bread from the House of Croissants before leaving.

The Spine Clinic is outside of Hua Hin, oddly enough, and I saw some places I hadn’t seen before. On the way back I spotted a giant golden statue so, of course, I had to stop. As an aside, now that we’ve been here for a while, we kind of judge whether it seems to be worth stopping or not. I’ve seen enough large golden Buddhas and other statues that now I think “well, it’s not THAT big, so maybe I won’t stop.” Haha. Once you’ve been here for a while you realize there are large statues practically everywhere, so you kind of have to pick and choose!

As it happens, Wat Khao Noi was on top of a small hill, and it had a nice view of the city and surrounding area. That always helps to convince me to stop!

For supper, I just went for the chicken cordon bleu at German Schnitzel and Currywurst. I know, not original, but it’s good.
